Our 3 Areas of Ministry
The impact of any humanitarian work is critically limited without addressing the underlying causes that produce poverty, persecution, and abuse. Rather than blaming these issues on lack of resources, overpopulation, or oppression, we seek to address this at the root cause: the absence of a biblical worldview.
BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW TRAINING
Every person has their own worldview. People's behaviors are the manifestation of this. Our mission is to support human flourishing through a lens of biblical theism by using the following methods:
WORLD RADIO BROADCASTS
Although we have used every form of mass media, radio is still the most popular form of communication in the world. Since 1963, God has opened doors all around the world for us to empower local leaders with the tool of radio broadcasting. Millions of people have access to the Gospel every day through this ministry.
The chief purpose of life is the knowledge of God. Using the Bible as a cornerstone of instruction allows people all around the world to fulfill their design and match their thoughts with reality. Purpose, meaning, and value can be found in understanding who you are and who God designed you to be. From schools to churches, we provide resources for local Christians to teach their own communities.
Short-term missions can be a very effective tool when directed by local Christian leadership. When local Christians request our help with an event, need, or disaster.
DISASTER RELIEF & RECOVERY
With ambassadors all around the globe, we are able to respond to disasters quickly and effectively. We are committed to all stages of relief: first response to recovery and development.
FIRST RESPONSE/ECONOMIC RECOVERY
Our global network of ambassadors allows us the opportunity to work all around the world as quickly as possible following disaster events. Empowering the local church with resources enables Christians in the area to impact people's lives in times of crisis. Initial stages of response include search & rescue, food & water, medical care, and shelter.
The bonds built during times of disaster can inspire a community to unity when properly fostered. This can greatly aid the rebuilding process. Recovery stages benefit by cooperation in a community: people working together bring their society back to a stage of normalcy.
Full recovery from a disaster can take several years. Applying a Biblical worldview can restore and knit communities together, creating a stronger bond. Orphanages to care for children who have lost parents in a disaster, aftercare programs for traumatized survivors, and job creation for those who are starting over are part of this process.
From appropriate technology to leadership development, we provide the most relevant resources specific to each culture. Nations flourish when the Gospel of the Kingdom is embraced.
Because God has made us to be creators, empowering people with simple yet effective appropriate technology not only makes life easier, but also opens the mind to endless possibilities. Water purification, shelter construction, safe cooking methods, and medicine/sanitation are all part of this process.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PRACTICES
These include agriculture techniques that restore poor soils and enable people to grow their own food in the harshest of environments. Practices we utilize include Farming God's Way, animal husbandry, conservation tillage, aquaponics, and food preservation.
EMPOWERING LOCAL LEADERSHIP
Empowering people to give back to their communities is special. This allows for folks to impact their neighbors on a personal level which promotes opportunities for discipleship. By utilizing classes in native languages, national conferences, and short-term training events, we provide opportunities for empowering local and national leadership, as well as community engagement.
